Learning ResourcesSmall World Big Picture Expedition Africa is designed to link Algonquin College and Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board , Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, Renfrew County Catholic District School Board, Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, and York Region District School Board educators together enabling them to collaboratively leverage their respective skills and resources to create  learning materials for elementary and secondary school educators, students and parents. 

This project will actively engage 1000s of students in Ontario, influencing them in terms of creating a long-term understanding of Africa, actively engaging them through technology to educate and support the millions of African peoples who live in conditions much different to those in Ontario and Canada.

Aids Conference AIDS: Africa's Biggest Challenge
Khairoon Abbas, an Expedition Africa team member, attended the 16th International Aids Conference, held in Toronto, Canada. From August 13th – 18th, she attended various sessions where she learnt about the effects of HIV/AIDS on different parts of the world, especially Africa. She went to the conference to broaden her understanding of how HIV/AIDS affects Africa and its peoples.
