This project will actively engage 1000s of students in Ontario, influencing them in terms of creating a long-term understanding of Africa, actively engaging them through technology to educate and support the millions of African peoples who live in conditions much different to those in Ontario and Canada.
AIDS: Africa's Biggest Challenge Khairoon Abbas, an Expedition Africa team member, attended the 16th International Aids Conference, held in Toronto, Canada. From August 13th – 18th, she attended various sessions where she learnt about the effects of HIV/AIDS on different parts of the world, especially Africa. She went to the conference to broaden her understanding of how HIV/AIDS affects Africa and its peoples.
